We are proud to introduce Za’Miyah Williams, the recipient of the 2025 Ready for the World $1,000 Scholarship Award—a remarkable young woman whose drive, excellence, and vision are already shaping the future.

At 18 years old, Za’Miyah has achieved what many only dream of. She recently graduated from the College Academy at Broward College, earning both her Associate of Arts degree and high school diploma simultaneously. She holds a 3.8 cumulative GPA, a 5.2 weighted GPA, and a 4.6 core GPA, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to academic success.

This fall, Za’Miyah will take the next step in her journey as she begins her undergraduate studies at Florida A&M University (FAMU)—a university known for empowering future Black leaders and changemakers.

Za’Miyah’s story is especially meaningful to us because she was a participant in our 2013 Ready for the World Daycare, Inc. Summer Camp. Watching her evolve from a bright, spirited child in our program to an accomplished young woman pursuing medicine fills our hearts with immense pride. This scholarship represents our commitment to giving back to the families who have trusted us to pour into their children—and Za’Miyah is a shining example of what’s possible when community support meets determination.

During her time at College Academy, Za’Miyah served as a senior peer mentor, was selected as a student council member for the NSU Art Museum, and earned certifications in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, showcasing both her leadership and creative talents. She was also accepted into a phlebotomy certification program for summer 2024, deepening her preparation for a healthcare career.

Her accomplishments have been recognized with honors such as the Principal’s List, Dean’s List, and the National African American Recognition Award.

Za’Miyah’s long-term goals are both bold and inspiring: she plans to attend medical school, become a board-certified dermatologist, and eventually open her own dermatology practice, medical spa, and skincare line—all designed with inclusivity and healing in mind.

“As a Black woman, I know the struggle of finding products that truly work for our skin,” Za’Miyah shares. “Creating a skincare line that addresses our unique needs is something I’m passionate about—not just as a business, but as a calling.”

The entire Ready for the World team celebrates Za’Miyah—not only as a scholarship awardee but as one of our own. Her journey reminds us why we invest in our youth: because when we pour into them early, they grow into leaders who light up the world. Thanks, for trusting us, Trina Kay
